Pseudoscalar decay constant in heavy light systems

چکیده

When investigating the physics of the heavy light mesonic system within the frame work of non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD), the action and observables are expanded in powers of ΛQCD/MQ, MQ denoting the heavy quark mass. If the regularisation, in our case the lattice cutoff, would be removed, divergences will arise in the matrix elements and coefficients of the expansion. To circumvent this, we keep the cutoff finite and use an improved action to minimise residual effects on physical results. Large residual divergences would become obvious as scaling violations of the contributing matrix elements. We use 278 quenched 12 × 24 configurations with β = 5.7, generously provided by UKQCD. For the light quarks the tadpole improved clover action with κ = 0.1400 has been used. This is slightly lighter than the strange quark mass as determined from the K meson, κs|K = 0.1398 [1]. At β = 6.0 [2] such a mismatch leads to a shift of 1% in fPS which is negligible compared to other errors in our calculation. Frommρ one gets a −1 = 1.103(11)(50) GeV [3]. For the heavy quarks we used a tadpole improved action corrected up to order O(1/M) in the bare heavy quark mass, details on which can be found in [4]. We use heavy quark masses in the range 20 ≥ aM ≥ 0.6, which ranges from heavy quarks much heavier than the b and slightly lighter than the c quark. All results presented are preliminary.

Lattice results for the decay constant of heavy - light vector

We compute the leptonic decay constant of heavy-light vector mesons in the quenched approximation. The reliability of lattice computations for heavy quarks is checked by comparing the ratio of the vector to the pseudoscalar decay constant with the prediction of Heavy Quark EEective Theory in the

Decay Constant of Pseudoscalar Meson in the Heavy Mass Limit

The leptonic decay constant of the pseudoscalar mesons a calculated by use of the relativistic constituent quark model constructed on the point form of Poincare-covariant quantum mechanics. We discuss the role relativistic corrections for decay constants of pseudoscalar mesons with heavy quarks. We consider the heavy mass limit of decay constant for two-particle system with equal masses. Decay ...

Heavy-Light Mesons with Quenched Lattice NRQCD: Results on Decay Constants

We present a quenched lattice calculation of heavy-light meson decay constants, using non-relativistic (NRQCD) heavy quarks in the mass region of the b quark and heavier, and clover-improved light quarks. The NRQCD Hamiltonian and the heavy-light current include the corrections at first order in the expansion in the inverse heavy quark mass. We study the dependence of the decay constants on the...

B Decay Constants from NRQCD with Dynamical Fermions

We present a lattice investigation of the heavy-light meson decay constants using Wilson light quarks and NRQCD heavy quarks, partially including the effects of dynamical sea quarks. We calculate the pseudoscalar and vector decay constants over a wide range in heavy quark mass and are able to perform a detailed analysis of heavy quark symmetry. We find consistency between the extrapolation of t...

Two-photon decay of pseudoscalar quarkonia

We report on our recent evaluation of the two-photon width of the pseudoscalar quarkonia, ηc(nS) and ηb(nS) in an approach based on Heavy-Quark Spin Symmetry (HQSS). To what concerns the 1S state ηc, our parameter-free computation agrees with experiments, as well as most of other theoretical works. On the other hand, our computation for the 2S-state looks 2S like a confirmation that there may e...

Semileptonic decay of a heavy-light pseudoscalar to a light vector meson

Semileptonic decays of heavy-light mesons are of interest because they can be used to determine elements of the CKM matrix. The nonperturbative QCD information needed to understand a decay can be calculated in lattice QCD. In the case of the decays D → K∗ and Ds → φ the branching ratios have been accurately measured and the relevant CKM matrix element (Vcs) is well determined by other methods [...
